What is a Walk-in-Story™ book?
The Walk-in-Story™ book is a new type of reading experience that is brought to you exclusively by JourneyChamp! This completely original way of reading allows children to guide themselves through the story, just as they are learning to guide themselves through their lives. Watch your child take control of their reading experience as they navigate through the pages, examine the details, meet the characters, and interact with the story on a completely new level!
How do I navigate through the Walk-in-Story™ books?
Use the direction controls (the fingers that point up, down, left, and right) to move forward, backward, turn left, and turn right. Take your time to explore the scene, examine the details, and search for all of the 3D touchable objects!

I think that I am reading the story out of order. What should I do?
Since the Walk-in-Story™ books are designed for the reader to be able to navigate herself through the story, it is possible to skip a page the first time that you read the book. To prevent this from happening, each page has been given a number. Make sure to follow the numbers to catch all of the action!

I can take a picture with the characters! So cool! How exactly do I do it?
We want you to have a souvenir of your Walk-in-Story™ adventure! Find the wall with all of the characters, and use the camera in your device to position yoruself in the picture frame. Take a screenshot by holding down the "home" button and the "power" button. Smile, and snap a photo! Your picture will be stored in the gallery of your device.

Walk-in-Story books are brought to you exclusively by JourneyChamp. All of our books are available in the App Store. You can also find the titles, descriptions, and demo videos of all of our books on this website and on our various social media sites!

How do I listen to the voice-over? What about the soundtrack?
To listen to the voice-over, simply touch the text on the page! If you want to stop the voice-over, touch the text again. The voice-over starts reading each page from the beginning when you touch the text.
To listen to the soundtrack, locate the sliding volume control on the icon with the music notes. Slide it to the right to increase the volume, and slide it to the left to decrease the volume. You can listen to the soundtrack and the voice-over at the same time!

What do the different icons mean?
On the title page, you will see two icons. The icon on the left (with the "i") takes you to the information and credits screen. The icon on the right (with the open book) begins the Walk-in-Story™ book!
Once you have started the Walk-in-Story™ experience, you will see several more icons. Use the fingers that point up, down, left, and right to navigate through the story. The icon with the music notes has a sliding voume control that allows you to adjust the volume of the soundtrack. Lastly, the icon that has a rectangle and an arrow (also seen on the information and credits page) will return you to the title page!

The voice-over is too quiet. Why is this, and how can I fix it?
The voice-over file is a 3D sound file. This means that the volume of the voice-over changes with respect to your distance from the wall. The closer you are to the wall, the louder the voice-over will be. Similarly, the further you are from the wall, the quieter the voice-over will be. To increase the volume, make sure that the volume is all the way up on your device, and move closer to the wall!

My image in the take-a-picture frame is upside-down! How do I fix this?
The application is built to orient itself in the correct position depending on how you are holding your device. However, this automatic orientation does not transfer to the take-a-picture feature. If you find yourself upside-down in the picture frame, simply turn your device over!
